Unbelievable!

It is sunday night and my young ones have finally returned from the place called "dad". I was obviously overjoyed to see them, but unlike my companion Mickey, I do not have the run of the house. As a result, I could not run up to greet them. I watched happily as the young humans walked pass my cage. I was highly expectant of my nest to be thrown open, and for I, myself, to be plucked from my perch and set on a shoulder. But, no. I simply get a "Hi lily." in a high pitched voice.

So now, I am on Jessyca's portable computer typing this up. She and her family are on the second floor, along with Mickey. I think that I can hear the television. I am greatly unsure if I will get to play with my humans tonight. However, I have no idea of what tomarrow will bring.

A lonley day

I despise the times when the young humans are gone. I am not completley sure where they head off to, but I believe that it is some place called "Dad". When the young ones do leave, the elder humans do not take me out of my nest. I am a very friendly parakkeet! It should only be fair that I get to see the humans! But alas, the elders are not home so I have had nothing to do, but climb through my nest's bars and sign onto this system.

Mickey and I have been talking. Mickey is the family dog. He is a very pleasant animal to talk with, but I do regret the times that I have accidently startled him and almost ended up between his teeth! Other then that, he never really attacks me. Many a time do him and I hace conversations about the going ons of the house. I will surley miss the dog once he passes. You see, the poor canine is definatly ill. His stomach is swollen like that of a watermelon! However, the rest of is body is all bones and fur. I can sense the distress that Mickey's state puts the humans in. He tells me that he feels fine, but I know different!

I have also recently checked my comments. As you can (hopefully) read, I have one from a Phineous Phig. I have also clicked onto his blog. It is a very good read indeed! You, my readers, should deffinatly check it out!

Well, my time is cut short. I am greatly tired, and it will take much of my energy to retreat back down the stairs.

With Honest Wishes,

Lily

The start of it all

I was sitting atop the human called "Jessyca" when I noticed this website. I thought, "Wouldn't it be nice if I, a simple parakeet, could voice her opinions?" And so, I decided. I escaped from my nest and managed my way up the stairs. Then after a decent number of attempts, I was able to access this website using Jessyca's account. And here I am now!

I realize that you are thinking, "A parakeet is a bird. Birds can not type!" Well, dear reader, this one can. In fact, I can do many a thing that humans believe impossible for a species of my attire. But the point is that I obviously don't want my humans to realize this. I do understand that a blog is shared throughout everyone home, but honestly, will they believe that this is a parakeet speaking? Do you even believe it?

I started this "blog" to have my voice heard! To often and I am yelled at for trying to communicate with my humans! To often are my pleas for attention ignored. But not anymore! Through my posts, I hope that you will realize that a "lower life from" parakeet, has a voice too, though it may only be seen in words.

My posts will simply be an overview of my day. They are not too exciting. My days are normally spent perched on a stick, with occasional conversations with Mickey, the family mutt. But I suppose that you should get an over view of my appearance...

As you have read, I am a parakeet. My feathers are mainly the colors of green and yellow. While the majority of my back, including my tail, is green with a few black and navy blue marking, my stomach and head are a lovely yellow! My feet are a nice pink color, that I do not see on most parakeets. My wings have been clipped, so the only extend to about half of my body, but that is no matter. I can still flutter towards short distances. And that is enough to happily perch myself on one of my human's shoulders. I do enjoy being by them, but to often do they try to lift me away onto a couch, or finger...

Time is getting short, and the human called Justin will shortly be arriving home. So I must go and retreat back to my nest!

With Honest Wishes,

Lily
